WEA classes have been running in the Hemingfords for thirty years. As a result of a change in funding, however, they are no longer viable and classes will now run in conjunction with the Reading Room, and will be known as HEMALL classes – Hemingfords’ Adult Lifelong Learning. Details as follows:
Monday afternoons, commencing 16 September, 2.00 – 3.30pm with tea/coffee from 1.45. Colonial and Revolutionary America, an exploration of the changing structure of North America from the arrival of the first British settlers to the moment they rebelled against their homeland. Tutor Dr Ian Chambers. The course will last 10 weeks, fee £55.00
Wednesday mornings, commencing 11 September, 10.00 – 11.30am with tea/coffee from 9.45. In the Eye of the Beholder, an opportunity to look at examples of beauty from a variety of sources and consider how the idea of beauty has changed over the centuries. Tutor Ges Hartley. The course will last 10 weeks, fee £55.00
